Translation:
Translation is the second process of protein biosynthesis.
In translation, messenger RNA is decoded to produce a specific
polypeptide according to the rules specified by the genetic
code.
Transcription:
Transcription is the process through which a DNA sequence
is enzymatically copied by an RNA polymerase to produce a
complementary RNA. Or, in other words, the transfer of genetic
information from DNA into RNA.
Transformation:
A genetic alteration to a cell as a result of the incorporation
of DNA from a genetically diferent cell or virus; can also
refer to the introduction of DNA into bacterial cells for
genetic manipulation.
Transmission
Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP): An Internet
protocol for communication between subnets, designed to function
well even if part of the network is destroyed or malfunctioning.
Triplet:
Three-base sequence of mRNA that codes for a specific amino
acid or termination codon.
